Game falters [SOLVED]

Hi

Today is the first time I've played TS4 but my game falters terribly. (I hope I say this correct)
I think it's because I don't have enough space on my C: drive.
Normally I install my games on the D: drive but that does not work (I've read on the forum that it's a problem that still has to be fixed). So I installed my game on the C:drive. On my C: drive I've 195 GB free space (after installing TS4). Could this be te problem?
In game I've set the resolution less high (something in the middle) and set all graphics to 'medium' but I don't see anything change. With this pc I've played the sims 3, with all its expansions and a lot off cc without any problems.

I hope I've put my problem in the right section :-)

Hi there!

No, I don't think that the issue is the installation in the C: drive. If you have 195 GB left after the installation, you have a lot more than the required space for it. Don't worry about that.

What do you mean when you say that it "falters terribly"? Does it crash, or is it slow...? What is the problem, exactly?

The game is very slow!! It's like when I was playing The Sims 2 on a laptop with all its expensions :-)

I see. What are your system specifications? One easy way to tell if they are enough for the game is using this website:
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
Click on the list and look for "The Sims 4".

Although if you were able to run The Sims 3 you shouldn't have any problems, it's better if you make sure. Posting a screenshot of the results would help.

Just spoke with my boyfriend and he sais I don't have enough RAM-memory. 2 GB. That's why it goes so slow...

Well, that just reaches the minimum required. One thing you can try to make the game smoother is downloading GameBooster. You can find it here:
http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.php

Add The Sims 4 to it and then try running the game again. It should help at least a little bit with the 'slowness' of the game. Sorry I can't really help you further, as it's a hardware limitation.
