Mods? [SOLVED]

Re: Mods? [SOLVED]
Hi there!
Normally, what you need to do is put the mod file in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods. But if there are any other special instructions, the page where you downloaded the mod from should tell you those.
For example, some mods need that you go to the Game Options and check "Enable Script Mods" for them to be able to run. And some others come in .zip format, that must not be extracted and need to be left like that.

Hello lohzehui and welcome,
From what I'm gathering, if the mods are in .package file format, you put them into the following location:
My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods
If you want, you can also create sub-folders inside that Mods-folder. And name each sub-folder accordingly, depending on the type of custom content/mod. So for instance, it seems you can have one folder named "clothing", and another one named "Mods" and so on.
There are also core mods, which often seem to have the file ending .py and .pyo. I read you should not extract them directly into the "Mods"-folder. Instead, take the .zip file of them, and put the .zip into My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods
Hope this helps ! (anyone correct me if I'm wrong in anything)

Hello tjsuicide96 and welcome,
The "Mods"-folder is located inside (My) Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4. For an elaborate guide on installing mods & CC, see this here:

Good luck !

You're welcome. Since the OP probably isn't going to reply anymore, and since the question is answered, I'll close the topic.
@OP (lohzehui), if you have further questions about mods, see the guide I linked to in my previous post. Or PM me, so that I can re-open the thread if needed.
Question answered, topic closed.
