Sims Cursor Problem Empty Sims Cursor Problem

Post by Guest Sat 25 Oct 2014, 02:36

Hi, silly ole' me again. I'm having trouble with moving the cursor in CAS whenever I try to click something (hair, clothes, even exit out the game or change the options) it won't let me! My cursor turns into this camera thing and rotates the sim. I've tried looking on google for answers but can't find any. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it? Or am I just a noob?

Hi again! Smile

That... seems like a very strange issue. Do parts of the Sim light up when you hover over them? And do the top-right buttons turn green when you do the same?

Happens to me too. Can't fix it without my mouse. Do you use a laptop pad by any chance? Because if I plug in my mouse with it's adapter and mess around with the scroll for a bit, it will snap out of it.

Hi whisperlude,

Sorry about this.  Sad  There have been some bugs reported regarding the mouse functions both within CAS and in-game.

From what I can tell, your best bet with fixing this is to switch between full-screen and windowed-mode.  Changing the Display Type to 'Windowed Fullscreen' indefinitely helps, too.  For whatever reason, changing the game to a type of windowed mode overrides the error so your mouse will begin functioning normally again.  Are you running a legit bought version of the game, or a cracked version?

EDIT:  The bug with the mouse also seems to happen to people with Windows 8/Windows 8.1.  Is this you?  Are you running Windows 8 or Windows 8.1?
