HELP!!! Registration code keeps bumping up despite following steps!!! [SOLVED]

BIG PROBLEM!!!!
I did everything!!! I downloaded the iso files, downloaded the base game and put the crack into it, I didn't download the expansions because I wanted to play the base game only, I updated the game to v1.6.72 and put the crack for that update into the folder, but when I tried to open the game the registration code input still keeps popping up!!! I need the patch for the mods, but this blasted thing won't let me!!!
I'm running windows 8.1 and I was playing Sims 3 without patches just fine but when I updated the game the problem keeps popping up and out of desperation came to this forum!!! I checked everything but so far none of it has helped the situation!!!
PLS HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please, take a look at the Step 1 from the guide on installing The Sims 3:

It says:
Install The Sims 3 and all expansions you like, but install AT LEAST one of the following expansions: Into the Future, Movie Stuff, Island Paradise, University Life, 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff, Seasons, Supernatural, Diesel Stuff, Katy Perry Sweet Treats, Showtime, Master Suite Stuff, Pets, Town Life Stuff, Generations.

Sorry, but playing the Sims 3 base game by itself won't be possible. If you are determined that you don't want any other expansion, perhaps you should try installing one of the Stuff Packs from the list above, as it won't affect the gameplay at all. Any one of those will do.

The crack inside the Base game download of Sims 3 is LONG outdated. If you ONLY want to play the base game, and none of the expansions, please try the "temporary fix", here (instructions are included):

Sadly no It still pestered me to insert a registration code.
I tried both your advice but it still won't work...

So, you actually downloaded and installed one of the required expansion/stuff packs? Which one was it?

And did you follow the rest of the guide I linked earlier?

Hi again!

Sorry, but did you actually read the list of the required expansion/stuff packs? Outdoor Living Stuff is not part of the list, so that one won't work. You need to install one of these:
Into the Future, Movie Stuff, Island Paradise, University Life, 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff, Seasons, Supernatural, Diesel Stuff, Katy Perry Sweet Treats, Showtime, Master Suite Stuff, Pets, Town Life Stuff, Generations.

If you install one of the ones above and complete the guide again, the error should disappear. Good luck!

I kept trying and it still won't stop...
I checked regedit and it seems that the expansions would not install. And so far the guides don't help much...
I tampered with regedit before when trying to find a way to get sims 3 working just so you know...

You still need to use a serial number to install the game and its expansions (each expansion has its own serial)...

You only use the fix after you installed everything you wanted. Another option is to "put" the image of the newest expansion/pack installed into a virtual drive using Power ISO, then you won't need a crack at all.

You see, experience shows that in almost all of these cases, something was done wrong. Sorry, but the best thing I can suggest - again - is that you take the time to read and follow the guides very carefully. They are very easily formulated. Again, here:

YES YES YES!!!!
THANK YOU EVERYBODY I NOW GOT IT WORKING!!!
Turns out I didn't really know what I was suppose to do and instead use the whole expansion folder from another source.
I downloaded Generations from your website and installed it correctly and then followed your procedures and guess what... IT WORKED!!!
To be honest I thought no-one would help me, so it's nice to know there are people out there that won't ignore your problems and will help out.
Once again thank you~ Now to play with Nraas!!!
