TS4.exe system error [SOLVED]
I keep getting this error everytime I try to launch the game. The language og the PC is Danish, but basically it means, that the program can't start because _______________??? is missing from my computer and that I need to reinstall the program to fix the problem. I have tried this several times and I have disabled my antivirus, added the folder to the avoid-area in my antivirus, opened the files with winrar etc., so I am basically out of ideas and possible solutions :-(

Hi there, and welcome to the Games4theworld Forum!
What antivirus do you have, if you don't mind me asking?
And have you tried our Ultimate Fix? You can download it here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t18086-the-sims-4-ultimate-fix
It has a guide included.
Please, keep us updated. Good luck!

Re: TS4.exe system error [SOLVED]
I see, I failed to attach the screenshot, so I'll try again. Thank you so much for the quick answer. Yes, I have tried your ultimate fix, and unfortunately it still doesn't work. My antivirus program is called Symantec Endpoint Protection:-)

I see. Please, take a look at this post here:

It seems very likely that there is an issue with The Sims 4 and Symantec Endpoint Protection, as yours is the fourth case of this error that we've seen, and at least three of those have this antivirus installed. I'm sorry to say that the solution would be to uninstall Symantec Endpoint Protection, and get another antivirus.
EDIT: And, just as a personal opinion, Symantec products have a lot of issues and are a mess to work with. There are much better antivirus software out there, that don't need that many resources and aren't as intrusive in your system.

Okay I will try this and keep you updated. After I do this, shall I then just redownload the ultimate fix or will I need to reinstall everything?

Thanks! I assume that applying the Ultimate Fix should be enough. But please do let us know how it goes.

Re: TS4.exe system error [SOLVED]
Hi again! Thank you very much for your help, you have an amazing and well working support forum here.
I uninstalled the symantec protection and replaced it with avast and everything works perfectly fine now all I had to do was uninstall and reapply the fix.
Also, it was no problem for me to delete symantec protection, as I in fact do prefer Avast, but should anyone with the same problem not want to delete SEP, it might also work to disable the antivirus completely by navigating to registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Symantec/Symantec Endpoint Protectoin/AV/Storages/Filesystem/RealTimeScan and find the key called OnOff where 1 means that autoprotect is on and 0 means off.

Thanks for that workaround! It's very probable that an announcement will be made about this, and we may add those instructions too. As the problem is solved, I'll go ahead and close the topic now. If you ever need anything else, be sure to come back. Have fun!
