Hi,
If I install a legal copy of a game through Origin can I install later pirated dlc for this game?

Hello boomkin and welcome to G4TW!
I would advise against that. I am not sure how Origin works, but it would be easy to detect...

Hello boomkin and welcome,
Yes, what Shamrock mentioned. Besides, at this point, it is totally unclear how a potential DLC system in TS4 works. So actually, nobody can answer your question strictly speaking (not even the developers at EA, lol).
However, if we consider that the Pre-order/Digital Deluxe/Registration Bonus DLCs of Sims 4 are registered to the Origin account as well, then we can say that most likely you won't be able to use a legit game with pirated DLC.
You should go for a pirated game straight away then. Hope this helps !

I hesitated about moving this too Carlos, then thought there might be DLC about other Origin games...

Then please try and be more precise next time. (sorry @Shamrock, my bad, but that topic would probably fit best into the "PC games" section. I'm fine however with keeping it here too).
If you're not specifically talking about Sims 4 or any other particular game, then we cannot give you a specific answer to your question either. It is possible for Sims 3, and probably for some other games too. But it's certainly not possible for ALL games.

Re: Can Origin detect pirated dlc?
Hi there,
I honestly don't think that Origin can detect that you're using a pirated game. (This is, of course, not a guarantee)
How do they want to detect a cracked file? In the worst case Origin will be able to detect that the file has been tempered with, and it'll try to replace it with the original non-cracked file. (Something like the TS3 manual patch, which replaces all important files with their originals; and the Steam "Integrity check", which checks all the game files to see if they have been modified/corrupted, and re-downloads them if necessary - although this process has to be manually started by the user)
