Cannot open saved game after last update

Hi there!

After the last update I can't open my saved game anymore and I lost all my families. According to the error message I 'saved my game in a newer version' and it recommends I install the updates. 

I already tried the ultimate fix but the problem remains. Is there any other way I can update my game?

Sorry if this is a bit of a stupid question but I'm that good with computers.

Did you try re-applying the Ultimate Fix already? It's possible that there was a problem, so the game isn't fully updated. You may want to temporarily disable the antivirus during this. 

Another thing you can try is removing the Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder from that location. Simply move it somewhere else or rename it, but don't delete it! Then, try opening the game again. It should create a new folder.

The error shouldn't appear anymore. After that, you can move the Saves folder from the old folder to the new one, and check if the game loads.
