Clicking actions don't work

Hello,
I downloaded sims 4 and it was working perfectly fine until i noticed that when i click an item or a person and then try to click one of the options it doesn't click. This happens when i've been playing for about 15 minutes, the sims keep doing there own thing but im not able to tell them to do anything i am only able to cancel actions. the only way to fix it seems to be to exit to the main menue then go back and it works for another 15 minutes. I am running the sims 4 G4TW download on a mac with windows 8.1 through bootcamp could that be the problem?

//EDIT: i think that i was able to fix this my last simming session didn't have this problem. I updated the game with the ultimate fix file and i reinstalled C++
