Some sim commands dont work.

I have installed all the sims dlc up to cats and dogs.
The game runs fine but certain options dont work. Stuff like the phone I cant send texts or do anything related to social interacting for example when I click send text my sim does nothing.
Also there are some issues with the doctor career. when I try to analyze the patient sample my sim does nothing.
and finally when I press the order books option from the bookshelve nothing happens.
