Hello,

If you, for whatever reason, can't update to version ~~1.24~~ ~~1.26~~ ~~1.29~~ ~~1.31~~ ~~1.32~~ ~~1.33~~ ~~1.34~~ ~~1.36~~ ~~1.38~~ ~~1.39~~ ~~1.42~~ ~~1.47~~ ~~1.48~~ ~~1.50~~ ~~1.55~~ ~~1.57~~ ~~1.63~~ ~~1.66~~ 1.67 of the game, please download the manual update instead. It is known to fix most of the errors you get when you try to update via the Game Launcher, like the "Invalid File" error.

(The Mac version of the manual patch can be found HERE)

If you're using this in combination with our Ultimate Fix you have to use this manual patch INSTEAD of step 11 of the Ultimate Fix. (See included instructions of the Fix) Exclamation

If you get a "The installed version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate." error, run the manual patch as an Administrator!

if anyone else isn't able to download from mega and is getting "Temporary error, retrying" you have to have the mega extension/plugin installed on firefox.
I sat clicking away, refreshing like an idiot till I realized it was probably chrome trying to ruin my life.

fixed my dumb self up, switched to firefox, and installed the little extension.

After nearly giving up I found this fix and followed your instructions .. needless to say my game now works perfectly thanks to you!!! From now on I will only be using your mods and downloads!! You are the greatest!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work!

Well, I did a total deletion of The Sims 3 and the 19 retails expansions I have that were on my PC -- and reinstalled them all yesterday. As I thought, it took me the afternoon and late evening to do this.

I also copied the totally new install to another drive as a backup.

I test-ran the newly installed Sims 3 last night and it got to the Main Menu and everything was good-to-go.

Anyway, I installed the patch. I got to the Main Menu and it again asked me to Install Disc -- the same problem I had on my game yesterday morning, before I removed it, that I got as a result of running this batch.

Also, the Quit button would NOT work, no matter how many times I clicked it. I ended up using ESC to get out of the game like I did with my previous installed batched games before I deleted them all.

This, by the way, was done with NO MODS installed at all. I don't even want to try to put any of those things in until I get the Install Disc problem solved.

I'll do some web searches to see what resources look reliable to deal with that.

This patch does not seem all that great to me given the problems I keep getting -- which is, I cannot play the game at all after I install it. (Twice now.)
