Sims 3 Query? Empty Sims 3 Query?

Post by Guest Sat 27 Dec 2014, 14:42

Hi, so I was a PC user, and I played Sims 3. I had to disc but it was too badly scratched to use so I used your guy's torrents, I downloaded every expansion pack ect and I successfuly installed them (Thank you btw)
But I got a mac for christmas and I wanted to ins all Sims 3, but I just don't know how to. Since ThePirateBay is now blocked I can't get the torrent for Mac. I was just wondering if it was even possible to get it on Mac by torrenting?
I found a tutorial on youtube on how to get it, I got the torrent but it's stuck on 99.8%, so I came back here and wanted to ask you guys.
So basically what I'm asking is, can you guy's guide me on how to get Sims 3 on a mac?Oh my...
Ty

Of course! Smile You just need to download the same torrents you did before when you installed in on your PC! Smile Then follow the instructions in this link. If you have any questions about anything in the guide please feel free to ask! Very Happy

Also, you can find the torrents here. This is the official Games4theworld downloads page. Best place to find all of our downloads. If the actual links are not working for whatever reason try clicking on the magnet link!

Sims 3 Query? Empty Re: Sims 3 Query?

Post by Guest Sat 27 Dec 2014, 20:46

Hi, sorry for bothering you again Oh my...
But I accidentally downloaded the Sims 3 Complete Collection instead of the base game.
But is that compatible for mac because I read a thread and they said it wasn't?

//EDIT

I downloaded the Sims 3 Base game and when I used Unarchiver and looked into the file that it produced, the contents in that folder and the folder in the instructions weren't the same. So I tried to use the Instruction Guide that came with the torrent, I did everything correctly but I got a message when opening Sims saying that I was playing 'a non-final, unauthorized copy of The Sims 3.'
Can anyone help me? Sims 3 Query? Icon_sad

The complete collection is not compatible with OSX..unfortunately. Also, please try reinstalling The Sims 3 using the link I gave you above. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask. Smile I hope it works for you!!!

It is compatible with the OSX. You need to make the files into .dmg which is part of the mac guide.
In addition, you MUST extract the files with Stuffit Expander.

I download this file myself and install the program myself, and it works!
Here's my mini guide/tutorial installing the Base Game!

1. After download you MUST open with Stuffit Expander
2. After extracting all the file, make a .dmg file with disk utility
   a. more info how go to here "CLICK HERE" <- scroll down to the bottom
3. Install Sims 3
   a. serial key inside the "Installation Guide"
4. Download Manual Patch
5. Click on the Manual Patch and it does it for you.
6. Done! You can play the sims 3 base game!

If you want to install the expansion, follow the guide"CLICK HERE" . It is basically the same process I have provided, but you do not need to use the manual patch, instead you need to replace the files from the #Crack Folder to the base game.

!! When you install the EP make sure you INSTALL IN RELEASE ORDER! If you do know you can go here

Sorry if I'm being extremely annoying Noob
So, I downloaded the torrent from the Games4theWorld downloads page. 'The Sims 3'
And then I unzipped (or whatever the term is :$) using The Unarchiver.
But I the files that I got were different than those on the Mac Guide
I included a photo
Maybe the Mac Guide is out of date? Idk SadSims 3 Query? Fotorc11

Perhaps trying to unzip the files with Stuffit Exapnder, and no it is not outdated.

I still get the same files using Stuffit Expander.
I would use the link for the torrent provided in the Mac Guide but pirate bay is blocked and so is the proxy they used.
I went on a proxy for the pirate bay and copied the end of the URL and pasted but it came up some Beautiful Girls movie or something.

Oh gotcha, i see the problem. We don't have a link for the mac base anymore due to shut down for piratesbay. However, since you downloaded the sims 3 complete collection, you can make the base game work. please follow the guide i explained above.
You need to make the base game into a .dmg with the disk utlilty. everything will be explain how to do it in the mac guide. Instead you just copy and paste all the files from the sims 3 base folder and past it on to the .dmg
