How did you download that lot ? Was it from the gallery, or did you download it elsewhere on the internet ? If it's from the internet, you will get a bunch of files, that all belong to a lot. You MUST put ALL files of that lot into the following location:

(My) Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Tray

Did you do that ?

I'm having this problem as well. I try to place lots downloaded from the Community, only to get a "system error" notification on screen. I ensure that the lots have no CC, so that's not the issue. 

Any ideas?

Normally, you should open a NEW thread for your issue(s), instead of posting under someone else's thread. But OK. 


How can you ensure that the stuff you download doesn't have CC ? Just because there may be a statement about "no CC used" ? Sorry, I'm not sure about this. That said, I can't really tell you all more right now. I never had that issue myself so far.

Also, I read that you may run into problems if the creator had dirty dishes on the lot, during the time the lot was "saved"/uploaded. But again, I'm not sure about this theory either. Sorry.

Another person posted in this thread citing the same issue, so I didn't know there was a problem posting. I haven't been here it quite some time.

I don't think it's a problem with scraps of CC or dirty dishes, as I've tried eight different houses, all from different creators and all marked #nocc.

If you name a few of these lots (lot name + uploader name), I will try placing them myself, in my game - then we'll see further.

Sorry, but placing ALL of these lots works flawlessly for me. However, I have a legit game of TS4, and it is updated to the latest version (the pirated version of G4TW is still the version 1.2.16.10). Maybe that was/is an in-game glitch ? Also note that I have tested this on a (fresh) The Sims 4 username folder with no mods or CC.

Other than that I'm sorry; maybe we can learn more about this, over time.
