Hello Lori,
Some people have said they applied the Ultimate fix to a legit Sims 4 game, replacing all existing files and folders when prompted. And of course, you should NOT start Origin before playing the game (unless you want to use the gallery, in which case you may read up on this guide here).
Also, you may want to take note of this very important guide here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t18501-unable-to-start-initialization-error-at-startup-updated-on-11-2-2015
Personally, I would actually recommend you un-install your legit Sims 4 from Origin, re-boot the computer, and then re-download the Games4TheWorld one. The registry entries for instance are not the same in legit game and the pirated version. Which might cause conflicts...but you may do as you wish. I myself un-installed the legit game from Origin properly, and then simply re-downloaded the G4TW version. And everything works as smooth as silk for me.
Good luck, and I hope you're also doing otherwise fine !

Technically there should not be an issue, since the Ultimate Fix is only drag & dropping a bunch of files, there are not really Registry entries evolved.Carlos wrote:Personally, I would actually recommend you un-install your legit Sims 4 from Origin, re-boot the computer, and then re-download the Games4TheWorld one. The only "downside" is that you cannot use Origin any more (wow, omg, end of the world!?!r21211), because the crack disables the need for Origin. And we all know that if you run Origin and the game at the same time, content like Outdoor Retreat will not show up.

At present, we don't have enough knowledge as to how these (surplus) registry entries work. Another example: who would have thought in TS3 (long time ago), that this thing with the "error during startup" is usually due to leftover registry entries of non-existing expansions ? Technically, they "shouldn't" influence the existing (!) installation either, but for some weird reason...they do. TS4 is a bit different of course, but you never know for sure (until you get behind all this one day).
I'm only careful, and just glad that everything is working fine for me.
