Installing into the Future Expansion - Blank Menu, then Crash after Reinstall Empty Installing into the Future Expansion - Blank Menu, then Crash after Reinstall

So I'm totally new to downloading a torrent file. My sister downloaded into the future torrent file or me as it's the only expansion pack I don't have. All the other expansion packs I bought through Origin and have the disc for the base game. I followed the instructions for installing ITF and everything seemed to download fine. When I tried to play the main menu was blank, no words, no towns to choose from. So I uninstalled and reinstalled my base game and clicked that I wanted to keep my saved games when uninstalling. I then was required to update to the latest patch 1.67 upon reinstalling which I did. I got the Unofficial game modification message upon launching the game. When I clicked "continue" the game crashes and never gets to the main menu.

I do have mods installed but I deleted them out of the sims 3 folder before trying to download the torrent. Can someone help me with any steps that I have missed or what I need to do to fix this. I have 2 sims that I've been playing FOREVER trying to complete all the skill challenges for every skill and I'm pretty much down to only having the new skills that come with ITF to complete so this is why I'm trying to download this EP.

Welcome to the Forum!! Please, visit the page below and follow each step very carefully. Then, let me know if you got your issue solved.

Also, instead of deleting your mods manually, I would advise you to just rename your "The Sims 3" game folder inside of your Documents. That way, the game will create a whole new folder that you can use for testing, and you can always rename the old one back when you want your old saves...
