Build and Buy mode in Sims 3 leaves marks!

Okay, I've download Base game, Ambitions, TL, HELoft, Outdoor Living, WA, applied the fix, and checked all my work...even did it twice. Game is updated, all seemed well, BUT...when I try to build or buy on any lot, weird marks show up. I get big blobs of light, or plus signs when I place anything. On a side note, when I use any tool in build mode that normally has a pole, or a circle, etc, there's there's nothing...no visual build tool shows up. Cannot figure out this at all, and when I try to save, the marks are still there.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, cause this is WHACKED!

Okay, when I go to live mode, the marks disappear now...not sure why. It
IS annoying while building and decorating, especially in 'Edit Town'
mode, where you can't go live, but I can live with this. Anyone else
dealing with this? It sure is odd...

I once heard of this problem before, I don't think there's a known fix for it at the moment. (As far as I know)
The game works fine and you can click back to living mode. I recommend you try to life with it for now. You don't want to re-organize your Sims' house every 5 min anyway, right?
