Ultimate Fix Help: An extension of the "required game data missing" issue. Empty Ultimate Fix Help: An extension of the "required game data missing" issue.

Hello, I am sorry if this is a no brainer but I have been having trouble for a couple of weeks now. I have installed the main g4tw pirated copy of sims 4 and it works just fine. My problem occurs when trying to apply the fix. For a while I was getting the "required game data missing" issue and could not find out how to work around it so I gave up for a few days. I saw a solution to this issue recently and it makes sense because I use windows 7 and every time I attempt to copy the folders from the .rar to the sims 4 folder it asks me to merge instead of copy and replace. So I deleted the folders and then copied the folders from the rar. this process gave me the aforementioned error. This is where I need help, I need a way to move the folders without deleting the old ones first? Please and thank you for any help that you can give.  I'm new here.

Hello zombieash and welcome,

You aren't running an Administrator account on your Windows system, are you ? I recommend you always log on with the Administrator account if possible.

Should you not be able to manage that, try editing the folder permissions, as described here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t17678-permissions-error-when-copying-cracked-files-fix

This is written for Sims 3, but you can nonetheless apply the procedure to any folder, basically. So edit those folder permissions and try re-copying the fix. Good luck and keep us posted !

P.S. and no, you cannot simply start deleting folders and files from the game install location. Most likely you deleted stuff that is NOT affected by the Ultimate fix; hence those deleted files will be "missing", even if you apply the Ultimate fix after that. You might also want to try un-installing Sims 4, and then re-booting the computer. After that, re-install Sims 4.

I am indeed on an administrator account. I have also uninstalled completely and reinstalled and attempted to apply the fix again. I tried to let it merge the folders this time since there is still no copy and replace option. This allowed me to start the game and make a sim but after that I couldnt play said sim. Anytime I clicked on the play button on the lots I attempted to move them into it would show me a quick loading screen before sending me back to the neighborhood view.

//EDIT

Somehow I managed to solve my problem by deleting the contents of the sims 4 folder located in my documents. So fresh install of sims 4, apply the fix by extracting the zip directly into the sims 4 folder in program files, delete the sims 4 folder in my documents and then run the game. weird how that worked

Interesting, that you don't get the option of "copy and replace", but OK. Thanks for letting us know ! However, if you haven't read it yet, you may also try the suggestions in the following guide:

https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t18501-unable-to-start-initialization-error-at-startup-updated-on-26-2-2015

This will help prevent you future problems with the game and/or the Ultimate fix. Good luck again ! Smile  And even if you say that your game works now, you should do these steps in the guide; I strongly recommend it.
