World Adventures, Egypt, pathing error
I had just built my house, taking hours to do it and get it how i wanted. After which I decided to pop into the future, where i had some fun, then I came back home, after spending the night there.
The next day i was somehow offered to go on a world adventure..despite the fact i was going to be ghost hunter
anyway, i decided to go to Egypt and explore around a bit, until i had to go to base camp...where up on the bridge a little to the right, my sim got stuck, i panned around and other sims had followed me and got themselves stuck too, however a sim walking the other way walked straight across the middle of the bridge without any problems. No matter what I did, my sim just stood there spazzing out about tired, and hunger etc...somehow and i cannot remember how, i managed to press some icon and it sent me back to the future...where in it appears not only was my character stuck, but the save did not save either!
I spoke to another friend who had the same thing happen and it's known bug, but with EA could care less attitutude about fixing most things...this was one of those bugs that will either effect you sim, or you sim is affected if you do not visit all the places before going to base camp. I would not know since I had not visited everywhere.
This should not happen, and i wanted to advise people to be very careful, if your going to egypt...make sure you save and save your game again and again before going there or anywhere in the world adventures. It can probe a costly mistakes, in hours worth of work just down the drain.

Hello again,
Things like that are the reason I did not travel myself recently. But I think there is a built-in "save" function, before you travel ? Also, it's a good idea to back up your savefiles, before travelling anywhere, be it into the future, or into any of these "World Adventures" destinations.
For your specific issue, have to tried hte "resetsim" cheat ?

Re: World Adventures, Egypt, pathing error
hi there carlos.
Thanks for your reply. No i have not tried the reset sim cheat, was trying to play without cheating not sure if i have any save left that had the house i built and was proud of.
I have been playing sims 4 lately, because I got really annoyed after all that happened. The lack of exciting content is wearing me down a little with the sims 4, and i know the expansion arrives in april
I think considering that I have every expansion installed, all the worlds, and all the store content, including the houses you posted, it has not really been that bad apart from the bug. I will just do as you have said, and make a back up of the saves I make, so if it screws up like that again, at least I can go back and not loose all my hard work

I wouldn't exactly call the "resetsim" cheat a classic cheat though. A cheat is for me something like adding money, improving skill/career levels, and such. But of course, other people may have different definitions.
The resetsim cheat/command is useful in certain situations, when your sim gets "stuck" somewhere. After applying the cheat/command, your sim will be "reset", and teleported back to either the home or (when you're abroad) to the base camp.
Alternatively, you can also use the NRAAS Master Controller mod, here:
http://nraas.wikispaces.com/MasterController
With which you can also reset your sims.

Re: World Adventures, Egypt, pathing error
I got a really bad problem. Since i moved my sims 3 to the D drive, i tried to install a sim3pack, and for some reason the sims 3 will not launch, and i cannot get the launcher open to uninstall the stupid sims3pack.
I will use the above mod and thank you for finding it, hopefully it will help me once this game as somehow been fixed.
I cannot install everything all over again
