sims froze

something very strange happened last night. Just as I was about to go to bed, my sims completely froze when i went to save...yet the world and time was still ticking away as if nothing had happened.
my sims just stood there breathing and doing nothing
Not sure what happened?

Well, after you force-closed the game and re-started it, did that glitch occur again ? Is the glitch "repeatable" ?
If not, that might just be something random. These random glitches were always there in sims games - and you'll need to get on with that. And to minimize the damages, save in frequent intervals, so that you don't lose too much in-game progress,
