The Sims 4 Ultimate Fix... Please help A.S.AP!!!

Hi all! Not sure if I'm posting this in the right spot or not since I'm new to this but I'm having a problem with the Sims 4. After I run the setup, it finishes, and I click on the sims 4 icon I get the error "the dynamic library 'RLD.DLL' failed to initialize (E1104.) Error message.. I checked the forums and I seen that I needed to disable my antivirus and download the ultimate fix.. So I disabled my firewall and windows defender (I am using a windows 8 laptop) and downloaded the ultimate fix from the forum.. I have tried downloading the fix from the first three mirror links (since the first link to the mega website takes 3 hours to download.) They are showing up as " the Sims 4 fix.rar.exe." and it is saying that the type of file is an application. I have tried extracting it with winrar and 7zip,and double clicking it. When i try extracting it, it says "unexpected end of archive," and when i double click it Nothing happens... I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Someone please help me because I am dying to play this game before I have to return to work. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance!

Well I googled it and saw that sometimes you have to rename it and take the exe off of the end and all that does for me is make it to were the 7zip/winrar says file is an archive unpacking and blinks and does nothing...

Can someone just give me a step by step on how to download the ultimate fix?

Are you sure that the Ultimate Fix shows up as an .exe not as a .rar file? It may be that your PC is infected by malware. Either way, you can download the Ultimate Fix here. Follow the instructions included and I hope that fixes your problem.

If the .rar turns again into .exe, scan your computer for malware. You can download Malwarebytes here.
