Hello and welcome to the forum,

Read this post here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t19063p60-sims-4-error-origin-is-currently-not-running#133892

Try the solution there, but make sure you back up that registry folder before deleting it ! You can do that by right-clicking on it and choosing "export". Choose a name for that registry entry and save it to a place where you can find it easily, for example on the desktop. After that, you can restore it by double-clicking on that registry file.

Good luck and keep us posted !

Then you will have to do it the 'classic' way. Please read this guide here and do all the steps. And do the steps precisely:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t18501-unable-to-start-initialization-error-at-startup-updated-on-6-3-2015

After doing all that, please make sure that Origin is completely closed before playing the game. Even the window that prompts you to enter the Origin ID and password. Plus, make sure to actually re-download the Ultimate fix, and re-apply it. Good luck again !

I just did the procedure yesterday on someone else's computer (via TeamViewer), and everything went smooth. Did you ALSO re-download the Ultimate fix and re-apply it too ?

I have to admit that the guide is very difficult to understand for the average person. It's not a classical guide that "takes your hand" and shows you everything you need to do (like the guide about The Sims 3). This guide that I linked in my previous post only shows approximate guidelines - and people will need to understand the guide and apply it to their own system.

Difficulties can arise in the variety of anti-virus programs and their behavior, or even in people misunderstanding what an anti-virus program is: for example, most people don't recognize that programs like "Microsoft Security Essentials" and "Windows Defender" are also anti-virus programs.

Please keep in mind that I cannot get back to all people, via TeamViewer. For now, I suggest you let it be, and when you feel better, try the procedure again. And really take your time for that too.

Sorry for the belated reply, but I have been busy with some urgent real-life issues, and after that, I went on a trip to England. As for the issue you are having, the game works just fine for me, and for most other people too. Please acknowledge that with the huge number of people requesting 'individualized support' (a.k.a. TeamViewer help), I simply cannot get back to all people.

But it's actually not needed, that I look into TeamViewer. The first thing for you to do, is to be aware of what "security software" you have installed. That can be anti-virus, anti-malware software, third-party firewalls, any browser "security plug-ins", etc. That is really what it all boils down to. And then you need to learn how to properly configure those programs too.

Even if I looked into TeamViewer, what should I be able to "find" there, if you cannot find it yourself ? Experience shows that it's not likely I can "clean up" in these cases. In the end it would most likely be a waste of time, not just for me, but for you too.

If you have reason to believe that previously un-installed anti-virus software is causing problems (because it wasn't uninstalled correctly), look here and check out some anti-virus removal tools, that will help you get rid of anti-virus systems:
