Not sure if this issue has been addressed before, well.

I have bought the base game and pets expansion pack.
Because it is the original base game, Origin has updated to the latest patch.

I want to download expansion packs. I started installing Ambitions (then will proceed to Pets, Seasons and University) (except Pets, all other are torrents installed from here)

I installed Ambitions, installed fine but then I proceeded to the cracking step. But by doing so the patch version number changed to "0.0.0.0". So, I guess one crack is to update a patch, but since my game is updated to the latest it got confused?
I read from a topic that I needn't to crack until I install all the expansions I want, so I understand that.
But how do I understand the cracking process?

I am currently re-installing the base game, If I install the expansions it will require a cd, so what cracking process should I do if my game is updated to the latest patch?

Please, if you have the time, take a look at the video below, I show there step by step how to install the base game, expansions, updates and the crack (if you can, please try to avoid mixing origin with CD installs, you can use the Games 4 the World iso images to install the original game with the same serial you would use on Origin).

Let's know if you got everything up and running, happy simming!!
