SETUP3.CAB. file is damaged, The Sims 4. [SOLVED]

Hello. I need some help with my The sims 4 game... Since my game would not start, and i wanted to install the Get to work game, I decided to uninstall, redownload and install my game all over again.

The Get to work torrent is unpacked and all is fine, so is the Ultimate Fix torrent.

The base game (The sims 4 G4TW version ofc..) is the problem. When unpacking the game i get a message about the "setup3.cab." file saying "the file is damage and can not work...." something like that. I tried again and again and redownloaded the game and unpacked it again but nothing works.. So i started to google on this problem and find another one (on this forum actually) with the same problem.

This is how he solved it;

Instead of unpacking the file on my (D:) partition, i unpacked it on my (C:) partition. This fixed it and now sims 4 is installed on my pc.

I only have one partition (C:), so this can not be tried...

Auuughhhhhhhhh this is killing me. PLEASE HELP Why God.

Hello again,

You should use the program WinRAR for unpacking; have you done that ? Smile

Also, it might sound dumb, but...have you made sure the base game torrent download is finished 100%, in your torrent client ?

Also, it can help in rare cases if you try downloading the stuff with a different torrent client. For example, if you use uTorrent, use something different like BitComet for example.

Indeed, it seems to be a rare occurrence, but downloading with a different torrent client can also help sometimes.
