Unable to load GTW

Hi,

Firstly, I would like to thank G4TW in providing us an alternative to purchasing many different games for MAC/PC.

However, I have encountered a few problems in loading Sims 4 GTW since its launch.

I have followed the steps completely and the expansion pack is still unable to load (i just reinstalled the whole Sims 4 but to no avail).

My re-install steps are as follow:

1. Un-install Sims 4 (from control panel)
2. Delete off any existing files from C drive
3. Restart PC
4. Install Sims 4 Base Game
5. Copy and paste Sims 4 GTW to C drive Electronic Arts folder, replacing some existing files
6. Copy and paste Sims 4 Ultimate Fix into C drive Electronic Arts folder

Please advice.

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Are you sure you copied and pasted the "Get to Work" and "Ultimate fix"-files into the correct location ? That is:
C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4

It's NOT the one from My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4.

Yes, I'm completely sure that i copy and paste into the correct folder as windows will prompt if I am pasting anything into program files.

I tried reinstall with the new downloads but sadly, it still won't work..

I have one question though.. how do i run the game without origin?

The part about the Windows firewall should be easy to do, please re-read it carefully again. And AFTER you did that, please TURN OFF the firewall of your anti-virus program, if your anti-virus has one. Then try and re-start the game. Good luck !
