MODS AND TRAY FOLDER MISSING AFTER INSTALLING NEW FIX AND BASE GAME? [SOLVED]
I just installed the sims base game, and the newest fix with spa, cool kitchen, etc. But I wanted to add some mods and lots for my game, and I noticed that there is no folder for either. I know there is supposed to be one, and I followed the youtube video by The Sims Architect and I noticed he didn't have one either. So, how do I add mods/lots to my game without a Mods or Tray folder? I tried creating them myself, and I tried starting the game to see if they would generate themselves and neither worked. I have mod scripts turned on.
*I have gotten the game from GFTW previously. I had to uninstall and reinstall the entire game due to some problems I was having.

Did you add them to Documents > Electronic Arts?

I did not. According to Games4TheWorld and The Sims Architect's video, you are no longer supposed to have it under documents. The Sims Architect said to put the game files under C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4, I have a funny feeling that's why it's not working. What do you think? I'm confused. The only way Mods can show up in your game is if you put them in Documents > Electronic Arts > Mods. That's what I know, and that's what every other custom content user says. Maybe you mixed something up? Add them to the folder like I said, and see if it works then? It should. That's where mine are, and the game works perfectly.

Wow, I feel really dumb now I figured it out. The game created a separate folder in documents that I hadn't previously noticed, that folder does indeed have everything I need. Hi there, @Alyssa_H!
Indeed, there are two folders. One that should be in Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4, and the other one in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4. The first one contains the game installation files, and the second one your personal files (saves, settings, Mods, content from the Gallery, Screenshots, among others).
Glad that you were able to solve your issue. Problem solved, topic closed. Have fun!
