Sims 3 Expantion downloads with store bought game
I was just wondering if the order of download in your "how to" makes a big difference in making the games work. I have The Sims 3 Deluxe (with the original and Ambitions) and three Stuffs (Fast Lane, Outdoor Living, and High End Loft) which I bought in store. In your "how to" it says that I would need to download the original then Town Life or Generations. Since I have the stuffs and expansion that I have will it affect the downloading of your expansions?
//EDIT
Where do I find the crack? I havent ever downloaded a game before so I am not sure what I am looking for.

Hello,
As far as I know, using G4TW versions with a compilation version like Deluxe isn't going to work, something about using the crack.
The use of G4TW releases with single retail versions usually isn't a problem though, so you could also get the base game and Ambitions from us, use your retail stuff packs and any other expansions you get from G4TW.
But I'll leave it up to Admin to give you a definitive answer.

Never heard of a The Sims 3 Deluxe, actually. But anyhow, I recommend you follow the instructions from that guide, so installing either Town Life Stuff and/or Generations first. Just follow all the steps and check the result. It should work fine.
If now, I'll keep this topic open so you can post your problems here. Good luck!

Re: Sims 3 Expantion downloads with store bought game
Ok so I tried to download Generations and I found the crack folder and put it into the base game folder. Then I did the fix and my WinRAR came up and installed it but when I turned on the launcher the Generations icon at the bottom was still grey and none of the new items show up in the game. I have the Generations folders and everything. I cant figure out what I missed or did wrong.

Hello,
Your post isn't entirely clear. You tried to download Generations and put the crack folder in the base game folder?
That's not right.. After downloading Generations, you need to extract it with winRAR, then run setup, enter the serial, etc., then unrar the fix and follow the installationguide.
