Restored Sims 3 Folder not working. [SOLVED]
Hello, first of all I would like to thank you for your wonderful work and support. I've downloaded the Sims 3 Complete Collection from your page and it was working flawlessly up until recently when I started having issues with the game crashing whenever I tried to move into a house in Starlight Shores. I uninstalled all the SPs and EPS and the Base Game, reinstalled everything and made a backup copy of the Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 3 folder, everything was fine but the crashing persisted so I added all of the .exe files to the DEP following a thread on this forum.
The game loads fine and everything seems to work fine except for one issue. My Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 3 folder is not working. I restored it from the copy I had and my mods, my cc, my saved sims and my saved games are not showing in game, the mods don't work at all (I have the nointro one and some overrides like overwatch and storyprogession) nothing works. I've deleted the folder multiple times, restarted the pc, everything I could think of. I even left the auto-generated folder and only added the Mods folder from my saved copy to test it and it still doesn't work. It's like it doesn't even recognize the folder is there and I know it's the right location since it was completely empty and it self generated after starting the game for the first time.
Please help I've spent hours reinstalling the game, adding the .exe files to the DEP thingy and everything and now I can't even test if it works properly when I don't have my CC, mods and saved sims and games. I don't know what else to do I'm desperate.
Sorry for the long post and again thank you so much for everything you do

Hello,
Welcome to the forum!
For your mods, you could try a new framework. Maybe the resourcefile became corrupted.
When you restored your saves, did you copy the entire saves folder, or just its contents?

Thank you
Thank you so much for your reply. I've fixed the issue, the folder was completely copied but the problem was that I had the windows 95 compatibility mode set when I added everything to the DEP, so I removed the windows 95 compatibility mode and the mods and my saves and everything showed up again. However the crashes kept happening and I found out it was a CC hair that my sim was using that was causing them, after I removed it the game has worked fine now. Wish I'd known before I uninstalled and reinstalled everything and I'm sorry it took me so long to read your reply
