Can you add mods to the cracked game?

Can you add mods to the cracked game? I just don't want to screw anything up. Thanks!

OK now I moved the game to a different folder like the directions said. It is now C:\ProgramFiles(x86) \The Sims 4\
Now do I change the location of the Mods folder?
