THE SIMS 3 does not update. [SOLVED]

hello, first thanks for the page is very good, I have a problem, I followed all the steps for installing and updating from the video , but just 99% of the update tells me that "the installation is not complete, file not valid ". I have not patched. (I don´t have fast lane stuff, neither outdoor living, BUT, for some strange reason, I installed the Town Life from here and if you see in the Launcher appears to me as not installed ... pretty weird ...

Hello,
That'll probably fix itself once the crack is in place. But first you'll need to update.
If you didn't get the
fix yet, now is the time to download and apply it. Follow the instructions carefully, watch the video if you need to. If for some reason during the use of the fix, the launcher refuses to properly patch the game, you can update manually. When you're done applying the fix, the game should work just fine.
Please let us know if it does, and don't hesitate to post if you run into any other problems.

Hi, Im gonna try it manually, thanks, let me see what happens, later I´ll post the results. (indeed, I haven´t craked yet, because the video says I must first upgdate from launcher)

So I tried to do the manual update, like it says, and it says this:
>SetupNew\setup.cpp (140)

@Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (7601)
IE Version: 9.0.8112.16421
Can anyone tell me what this means?

Usually people will get this error when the setup is error. I demand you to re-download the setup file.
Or it can be because of windows compatibility

Try re downloading the patch, something could've gone wrong.

The patch apparently didn't fully download, and that's why it wasn't downloading. It's updating now. Thanks!
