Trying to get old family into My Gallery but wont let me do it. [SOLVED]

I am trying to go online to the gallery through Create a Sim etc. and I cannot get my old family to download since it is on my page. Sims 4 will not connect even with Origin open. Any options? And can anyone download my family for me and send it to me?

Are you using a legitimate copy of Sims 4 or the crack? If you are using the crack, you cannot access the gallery anymore, even with Origin open.

Is your family available in your offline library or did you delete them after uploading them to the gallery?

I think they were removed. I dont remember deleting them but I had to reinstall many times and may have deleted my saves folder when I had an issue with my computer. I am using the game from here. I see my family on the gallery through create a sim but I cannot get it on my account in game as Im not connected.

Is there any custom content in your family? If so, have you selected to show custom content under the Advanced options in your library?

I could just install original base game and try it then save the family files and put them into updated game?

What is your Origin ID ?

And if you have a cracked Sims 4 game, but the Origin account that you use has a legit Sims 4 registered to it, then you can still download from the gallery using the old method (accessing the gallery from the main menu). I'm not sure about uploading stuff to the gallery from within the game, though.

I do not have a legit Game all my stuff comes from G4TW. Someday soon Ill have a legit game Im waiting for more extensions!

Try putting the files inside the Tray-folder, into your own Tray-folder (extract with WinRAR first), and see if that is what you wanted:

Thank you that is most of them!! Thank you so much! Did you see a family of 8 or 7 with two females similar to the ones in my profile picture another female with pixie cut?? There are 3 males in the family with dreadlocks and a baby. Thank you so much for you help!

I am so glad you answered ILvSims with this. I've been trying to find out if I could do something like this for days and nobody will respond to my thread.

You're welcome, and I'm sorry to hear about that. I myself don't come on here regularly anymore. I used to come here very often and reply to posts, but due to personal reasons I have (somewhat) "retired". I still visit and post from time to time though.

We used to have lots of Helpers & Mods back then, but most of these have also turned inactive. If you don't get a reply within a reasonable time, try using the search function and see if there has been a similar question in the past. This can be time-consuming, but you may find an answer that way, too.

Yes!! That is them!! Thank you so much Carlos!!!!!! You are always so very helpful!!!! I was ready to try to recover my entire computer files to find my old Tray folder! lol!! I am saving like 20 different copies of them in different places so Ill never accidentally delete them. It is the first family I started with in Sims 4!! I love it!!

Sorry for the belated reply, but you're welcome of course. Smile

One thing that I myself always do, and which I also suggest to other people:

Make it into a habit, to back up your stuff regularly, depending on how often you play.

In your case, you should back up the whole "The Sims 4"-folder in My Documents\Electronic Arts, and into a safe location (external drive, USB flashdrive). This folder is the one that contains all your saves, the Tray-folder, mods/CC, etc.
