Error: Origin is currently not running [d3382ced:984c6a38:00000000:00000000] Screen11

How do I fix this error on a Mac? I installed the temporary fix from this site and I got this error.

I'm experiencing the same problem on my Mac after installing the latest Ultimate Fix. I hope somebody knows the answer, I already tried moving the "The Sims 4" folder from "Electronic Arts" to "Program Files" in the wrapper.

I tried following a youtube video that describes how to use FitGirl's Repack, but I get an error after following all of the directions. I noticed that FitGirl updated her files this morning so I'm downloading that to see if it will work. If I do, I'll let you know.

I've noticed that many windows user experience the same error since the most recent fix, so hopefully we will find a solution soon and then it would be very likely applicable for both windows and mac (since I don't expect this to be a mac-related problem) Smile

There are some really genius people here, so I hope we all find a solution and can start enjoying the new packs and updates!

PLUS, there's the fact that I've now tried installations from three different sources and got the same error. I get it after installing FitGirl's Repack, ReLoaded, and G4TW. Although, I think when I tried it the first time using GFTW I got the base game to work on the first try, but I wanted to install all the other packs and when I finished installing the temporary fix I got this error. I am posting this issue on YouTube, where I saw a video on how to install this using Wineskin and another using CrossOver, and I have yet to get a response. If I get one before you, I will post it here and I would appreciate it if you would share if you were to find anything.

Oh my god, oh my god!! I got it working!!! A little hassle but this is what I did:

1. Download EXE (take note, not DMG) installer from Origin.
2. Right-click your Sims 4 wrapper and then click Show Package Content.
3. Double-click Wineskin.
4. Click Install Software.
5. Click Choose Setup Executable and the locate the Origin EXE file you downloaded.
6. Let it install. If there's an error that says Origin had to close bla bla bla, just click CLOSE.
7. Wait for the Wine window to show up, that means Origin was installed.
8. Double-click your Sims 4 wrapper and hit Enter once an error about origin needing to close shows up again.
9. Play the game!!

At first when I didn't get to hit enter and I opted to click CLOSE using my trackpad, the game opened in a windowed format but was really small. As in, 5x5-pixel small. But when I just used enter on my keyboard, it went on to the usual game.

My only problem is that my old game didn't load.

Also, I tried closing the game and opening it a gain a couple of times and it still worked.

I made a new game, closed the game, opened it again, and the new game was still there.

I don't think mine installed correctly to be able to do that. It quit after telling me it failed to upgrade directx so I am deleting the whole wrapper and starting fresh.

Update error when installing Origin. It keeps trying to update which crashes the game and says "Error installing origin"

I tried everything. I copy and paste files to every folder, but when I clicked the wrapper, it says "unable to start up initialization process" :(please help.
