Sims 3 digital version crack HELP!

[b][i]Well first I'd like to start off by admitting that I am a newbie and I know how annoying they can be (lol) I APOLOGIZE if I am posting this in the wrong section and ANY and ALL help that either gets me closer or solves my problem will be GREATLY appreciated Smile

Well, I have the DIGITAL VERSION (from Origin) of the Sims 3 and I went to Pirate Bay to download the Sims 3 Generation expansion pack and when I went to install the crack into the MAIN Sims 3 game it was not listed in the 'Local Disk(:c)/ Program Files/ Electronic Arts/ Game/ Bin' path and I believe it had something to do with it not being installed from the CD, rather it was in 'Local Disk(:c)/ Program Files/ Origin Games/ Game/ Bin'. I tried placing the crack there but I still got the error message that the game was missing a mod and it would freeze or that the actual CD could not be verified and to contact cusomer care or something along those lines..

There is so much information out there and it can be hard to tell wether it is outdated or wrong and I just wanna make sure I'm doing everything right, I don't mean to be a pest. I tried following this post: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1214-sims-3-generations-freezes-solved but for some reason I just couldn't follow. I guess my question would be: How do I crack the Sims 3 Generations to the DIGITAL version of the Sims 3 and would all of those special mods I love be able to work as well?

Well thats pretty much my story, if any of you Sim-Savy people could help I would greatly appreciate it, Just actually uninstalled everything and in the process of installing eveything back...

P.S.- I have Sims 3 from Origin (digital version), World Adventures (Hard CD), and Generations (from PirateBay)

Hello,
You've been on the right track all along. You found the folder the crack was supposed to go to and copied it there, only to be caught off guard by EA's warnings.
You can ignore the "unofficial modification" error, click continue and play. Nothing bad will happen. I would however advise you to download the ultimate fix and follow its installation guide, the link can be found in my signature. Your game will be up to date and it takes care of that annoying modification error you mentioned.
Mods don't usually cause problems, store updates are ok, for user created mods we advise to make sure the version you're using is compatible with your current game version (which will be 1.24 after applying the fix) and to add them only a handful at a time so you can filter out any mods that cause problems.
Don't worry about being new to this or being a pest even, we were all new at this at some point and we're here to help, so don't hesitate to post if you have any questions or problems.

Thanks u soooo much I really appreciate it, I just get so lost sometimes lol and is it ok for me to download the lastest patch?

ohh ok and also would that correct the "no disc error" as well because i have been getting that even after I copied a pasted the two correct files to the main sims game

and i just updated the patch Sad

did i do something out of order?

Hello,
Just follow the instructions that come with the ultimate fix and you should be ok.
The no disc error is usually caused by a missing crack, in your case it should, as you found out, be placed in a different folder. But not untill you've updated the game.
