Help on Graphics card and watts. [CLOSED]
Okay so im looking for a new card for my PC, i have a PCIE x16 slot which makes it ALOT easier, however i have no idea what my watt limit is.
I looked at my PSU, but it doesn't give a watt total only the AC input, DC output, the amps and the volts, which doesn't really help.
However i did find this if it helps;
Combined power on +3.3 and +5V rails not exceed 130w
combined power on +12V1 and +12V2 rails not exceed 20A
At ambient 25 degrees total output power shall not exceed 300w
At ambient 50 degrees total output power shall not exceed 270w
pleasy ?

Are you sure, that you cannot see any Watts write at the PSU? You need to open the side casing of your Desktop.
You'll see it

Usually on the box of the GPU you want, it says what minimum Watt power your PSU must have.

@ Narong30, that was on the PSU when i opened it, i had to open it to find out what PCI i had.
@Admin, i know how to find out the watts needed for a graphics card i want, its finding how much my PSU can take, also my card is integrated so it doesn't give me an idea., it should be alot though since it has 4 hard drive slots. 2 PCIE x16 slots, 4 PCI slots, 2 RAM slots and a fan bigger than my head. although it was made in 2008 so its kind of old now.

Try Speccy (www.speccy.com), it also shows voltages and stuff. Check it out, it shows a lot of information.

I have, only shows the volts for me. 3v,5v and 12v.
why couldn't Acer just simply put " total = (number of watts) don't go over this .
so much more simple
//EDIT
Close/Delete thread, just gonna get a new PSU now, though im having the trouble now of finding one that fits my case, 2 steps forward, 9000 steps back.
