Problem installing Sims 3 "All in one" Empty Problem installing Sims 3 "All in one"

Post by Guest Sat 31 Oct 2015, 00:48

Hello, I downloaded a torrent called "The Sims 3 All In One Edition (Including Into The Future EXP)", it weights 23.3 gb.
The setup instructions are:
1. Run the Autorun.exe
2. Install "The Sims 3 AIO Edition"
3. Install "Into The Future"
3. (Optional) Install DirectX, Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft VC++ 2012
4. Start playing (The game is CRACKED)

After going thru step 3, I end up with a working folder of The Sims 3 (The game is playable), with all the expansions except "Into The Future". The problem is, when I try to install "Into The Future" I get the following error: The Sims 3 needs to be updated before this product can be installed. Setup will now attempt to update The Sims 3. Do you wish to continue? *Yes/No*

If I click "Yes", I get an error after a while saying "Update to The Sims 3 failed, Setup is unable to continue." and the whole installation fails.

I tried downloading the update found in this thread "https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v1-67-fix-manual-patch" but I get the following error when executing it: "The setup has detected that no version of The Sims 3 is installed. This update requires that a previous version of the application is installed."

Can you guys help me? I hope I didn't download this huge Sims 3 packaged version for nothing.

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Please note that we cannot give support on releases from other people (partly because we do not always know how they work, and partly because we simply don't think we should be doing the "clean up" for other uploaders).

From what you describe, it looks to me like a faulty-packed download. The reason you are getting the error with the manual patch is because the game files of this "AIO" edition seem to be modified. Meaning, that the uploader changed something about them, to e.g. make the installation more easy. But in your case, I guess that download is faulty.

If you need more in-depth support, please try getting in touch with the uploader of this AIO edition, or use Games4theworld's "Complete Collection", which is about 28GB in size, and available here:
https://games4theworld.org/downloads.html

If you follow the instructions there properly, you will be able to get it running. But it's your decision on what to do of course. Good luck ! Smile

Sure thing. In your case, I guess the uploader of the AIO-edition you downloaded intially just added some "Into the future"-files, without knowing that you cannot easily add expansions to a modified installer, without modifying the whole thing. And that would speak for someone who just took the original AIO release, and re-uploaded it under his name, and just adding the Into the future-expansion files.
