Problem with installing The Sims 3 :(.[SOLVED]

Hi guys...I'm new on here, I've just registered as I found the site today looking for a download of TS3 that actually works!
Anyway, I'm following the installation guide for the game, and everything is going fine until I got to the:
7. When, during Installation, the Istallation asks for Disk 1, click 'Browse' and select the
StartDisk you have Mounted. (NOTE: In 'My Computer' or 'Computer' the StartDisk is
called 'SIMS3')
8. When again asked to insert Disk 1, click 'Browse' and select the Disk 1 you have Mounted.
The problem is, both disks are mounted, but when I click 'Browse' and try to select the start disk, I press ok, but the box just says 'F:' as though I've not selected anything.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or what the problem is?

Thankyou, it's installed now 
I'm having another problem though and wonder if anyone could solve it.
I've gotten to the point where I'm trying to apply the The Sims 3 Ultimate Fix and when I try to paste the base game crack into the bin it says there's not enough space on disk 1 to copy it? It says I need an extra 16.3 MB to copy the files.

Hello,
I suspect you're trying to copy it to the wrong location, the crack goes in your install directory.
I should mention that the crack requires at least one of the following expansions: Showtime, Master Suite Stuff, Pets, Town Life Stuff or Generations.

Ohh thankyou, I was trying to place it in the wrong place. It's working fine now.
Yes I have a few of the expansions so hopefully things will run smoothly now.
