Sims won't sit when they eat

I don't know why, but my sims want to eat in front of the fridge or standing up. They won't down for long, unless they're talking to someone. I don't know why they won't sit down. It has nothing to do with their mood, they're perfectly happy otherwise.
I don't even know if this is something than can be helped until a new update WhatDidUJustCallMe?

Can you get sims to just sit down, when *not* eating anything ? Does it also make any difference if you sell the chair(s) and buy new one(s) ? I would need to test that myself though, next time I get to play TS4...

I bought new chairs but they still just want to eat in front of the counter or fridge WhatDidUJustCallMe?

I have to tell them to sit down.

Also, my child sim, whenever she is learning something/gaining a skill, the bar will stay above her head after she's done with that task. After that the bar won't move if she goes back to learning that skill. I have to quit the entire game and go back. If i just quit to the menu, nothing changes. This happens sometimes with the effects they have too. If she's stressed, it'll say 0 hrs, and then blinks, but wont go away

Well, about the visual effects, maybe you can try updating your video drivers.

It won't change functionality of the game, though. What are you feeding your sims? Are they cooking or eating something like a snack straight from the fridge?

Can you "serve a meal" for the family on Sims 4 like you did with Sims 3? What happens then?

Are you using any kind of Custom Content or Dowloaded Stuff?

You can always try renaming your "The Sims 4" folder inside your Documents, and starting a new game to see if the problem persists. You can undo that later if the problem persists, to have your saves back, or you can copy your saves manually back if this fixes your problem Smile

You can also try redownloading the fix and reapplying it over, sometimes you may have a damaged file installed.

It doesn't matter if they cook it or pull it from the fridge, they just stand there in front of there they got it. Recently, when they put away a platter of food, they go t sit down first and then put it away, every single time.

My drivers are updated.

That is a weird glitch! Does it happen if you rename your The Sims 4 folder inside your Documents, create a new game and play with another house?

I've been playing with this house for a while...
Starting a new game would take time to build friends to see if that would happen again. Would changing the name delete any of my games?

Hi again. You can rename the folder, try a new game, see if the problem happens again. Then, you can close the game, delete the new The Sims 4 folder (that will contain only your test game) and rename your old folder back to The Sims 4.

Also, another option, in case the problem is solved by doing the above, would be to use the new The Sims 4 folder and copy only the content of your saves inside of it.

Are you using any kind of Custom Content?
