ts3 - is updating to v1.9 necessary in order to install this stuff pack? Empty ts3 - is updating to v1.9 necessary in order to install this stuff pack?

Post by Guest Sun 27 Dec 2015, 04:29

First of all, Im really sorry if i didnt manage to post this in the right section. I tried to go under the help with ts3 installation section of the forum, but ive never posted anything here before and i didnt find out how to do it properly. so im sorry, and thank you if you move this post for me c:

I need help with the following: Ive downloaded everything ts3 from here (base game and EPs, including the fix), installed everything according to your instructions and played without issues for a while. I now downloaded 3 stuff packs that i need for a certain world to work; outdoor living is one of them. When reading the installation guide for this stuff pack, it says i need to update to ver 1.9 first. I wonder if it's possible to avoid this step. I play with a lot of cc and mods, and im afraid something could go wrong if i update. I am not able to re-install everything if something goes wrong, because I installed all my cc via cc magic, and I dont have all those files backed up. so this is why i would prefer to avoid it, unless i can be 100% it wont mess up anything... and i guess we cant.

So... am i still able to install outdoor living stuff pack if i stay in my current patch?

thank you for your help in advance.

Hello,

If you already have the patch level 1.67, then there are no worries for you. Go ahead and install your missing stuffpacks. If you want to be safe, rename the folder "The Sims 3" temporarily, the one that is located in Documents\Electronic Arts.

When you're done with installing the missing stuffpacks, re-apply the 1.67 manual patch; just re-run it. After which you rename the folder "The Sims 3" (which I mentioned above) back to normal.

Good luck !
