Sims 4 Origin error Empty Sims 4 Origin error

Post by Guest Sat 30 Jan 2016, 05:37

Hello gang!

I have install The Sims 4, The Sims 4 Get to Work and The sims 4 Get together today. I have fallowed all instructions found in the #installation guide for all 3 installations.

I get the error Origin is currently not running  [d3382ced:1df4e8dc:00000000:912c9c10].

I don't have Origin install on my Laptop.

I have check the other treads regarding problems running The Sims 4 and apply the possible solutions to this problem.

I was wondering if we need to have Origin install on our Laptop (PC) for some files to work or if all files come in the download torrent we find on your Official Games4theworldDownloadWebsite?

Thank you for all your good work

Hello and welcome to the forum @Izza,

You don't need Origin in order to be able to play a pirated Sims 4. Did you move your installation folder of "The Sims 4", directly under Program files (x86) ? (= out of "Electronic Arts")

Hi Carlos,

Thanks for your answer.

Yes I have move The Sims 4 folder directly under Programs.

I use Windows 7 Pro as OS. My anti-virus is AVG free or AVG Zen (I don't really understand their new version). It asked me multiple times during my first installation for exclusion which I always said to exclude from scan but can't find where to do it manually.

I have unactivated it for the second installation after uninstalling everything and reextracting the .rar folder and tried to open the TS4.exe from Game/Bin folder. Same issue.

I didn't apply any patch found on this site as i thought every patches was in the The Sims 4 Get Together extension.

Sorry for the late reply @Izza,

Have you considered un-installing this AVG-program ? It's not exactly a good anti-virus. In general, keep in mind that some anti-virus programs simply do not accept user input, even if you put in the exclusions that you like...

Welcome to the forum @sofztribd,

Normally you should open a new topic for your concerns, but in this case, I can't suggest anything else, than what I suggest to other users: namely that in most cases, it is caused by anti-virus problems.
