Adding DLC's - #Crack Folder Missing .exe and .dll Files Empty Adding DLC's - #Crack Folder Missing .exe and .dll Files

Post by Guest Tue 16 Feb 2016, 22:09

I installed the base game and Pets and the game works just fine. I went back to install Generations, and I ran into a problem.

I followed the instructions from this post: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t22020-installing-expansions-after-update-crack

and this post: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

After I installed Generations, when I got to the step of going into the crack folder in the .rar folder (the overall folder) and transferring the .exe and the .dll files into the C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin folder, the files were no longer there. So, I continued with steps 2-5 from the How to Install Sims 3 Correctly link (reapplied the patch and the ultimate fix). I re-launched the game, and I found that Generations did not apply to the game, it's still just Pets.

What did I do wrong/can I fix it?

Hello again,

I believe you did everything correctly. The splash screen at the game startup will ALWAYS show the expansion or stuffpack that was released most recently. Since "Pets" came out (shortly) after "Generations, the splash screen will show "Pets" accordingly.

But all your content from Generations should still be in-game, no worries.
