Cant get past create a sim.

Can create my sims but when i get to picking traits it says i can pick 3, i pick a trait and the ohter 2 spaces for available traits wont open they are blacked out and cant skip and play the game. I'm unsure if the ultimate fix will sort this, would like someone who knows what they are doing to advise me, dont want to mess it up completely. Thank you

What is the order in which you installed the DLC packs ? The correct order is...
1) TS4 base game
2) Get to Work
3) Get together
4) "Hotfix" (see this topic)
Did you keep this order ?

Just the sims 4, when i installed the expansions it wouldnt open my game all together and i added the fix and still nothing.

OK, just the base game. You aren't using any mods for The Sims 4, aren't you ? If you do, please remove all these mods for the time being. In addition I would also try running the game as Administrator (right-click on desktop shortcut -> run as Administrator).
