Problem with The Sims 3. Empty Problem with The Sims 3.

Post by Guest Wed 24 Feb 2016, 14:50

So recently I downloaded a Sims 3 All in One version, it installed and worked fine, up till I tried to move my family in a home, and it crashed.

Through some researched I figured out it's because it's not updated so I downloaded the manual patch, but every time I try to install it it gives me ''The setup has detected that no version of The Sims 3 is installed'' error. Could it be because it's an All in One version? I also kept the default install destination.

Thanks!

Hello and welcome to the forum @kathycakes,

Yes, I suppose you can't use the manual patch on this "AIO edition". However, try applying the fixes described here:

In addition to that, I would also make sure to force V-Sync in your graphics card control panel, ON. See this topic for an introduction, but if you have a different graphics card type than the ones shown in the post, you will need to do additional research:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t21716-excessive-fps-rendering-in-the-sims-3-updated-on-16-12-2015

Try the game after that and see if there is any improvement in terms of crashings. Good luck for now, and feel free to keep us posted !
