Town Map: Black Screen, HELP!

I have Generations, Ambitions, Late Night, Pets, University Life and Seasons as well as all the stuff packs besides that Katy Perry Sweet Treats one. I've come across a very weird issue when trying to access the town map; When I open the town map it's completely black. The little logos for what lot is what is still there, but the rest is black. I can move around the town in live mode perfectly, but the town map is really bugging me. If anyone knows any possible fixes, please let me know.

Try lowering some or all graphics settings; see this here:
Not sure if "draw distance" also affects map mode, but I would focus especially on this option. Good luck, and keep us posted if you like !

I'm using the latest graphics drivers and I can't change any of the settings, they're all on low though. I have mastercontroller and overwatch so that may be the issue.

Are you playing on a laptop ? If so, some laptops have two graphics cards, one "on-board chip", and a "dedicated" graphics card. In these cases you need to make sure that your game is using the stronger graphics card, and not the integrated chip.
In NVIDIA graphics cards, there is an option in the NVIDIA Control Panel under the application settings. I believe the option is named something like "use following graphics processor". But all graphics cards should have options like these.

I am on a laptop, but I don't have Nvidia graphics. I have an AMD Radeon R3 graphics.

I'm not familiar with AMD graphics, so you'll have to do some research on your own here, I'm afraid, to allow TS3 to "use" this specific graphics card.

Darn. I guess I can try doing what everyone else did with compatibility and see if it fixes. Although, I don't think it will.

As said, I am not familiar myself with AMD, hence I had to google this screenshot here.
The option "switchable graphics" (on the left of the screen) may be located in a slightly different place for you. But please try looking it up on your own system, and choose "High-performance GPU", or at least see what the screen looks like there. If you have both "High-performance GPU" as well as "Power-saving GPU", it means your laptop has 2 graphics cards.

The fact that your laptop has an AMD Radeon R3, is a strong indicator that you also have an "Intel on-board graphics chip". And by default, all applications will use the Intel chip. Good luck again !

I can't seem to find out how to get there. Mine doesn't have that switchable graphics thing, so I'll just delete the game. Thanks for your time

If you haven't removed the game yet, I could try and assist you via TeamViewer in that (shouldn't take me too long to figure out whether you have that option or not). Feel free to check the forum's chatbox on top of the main page regularly if you are interested. Other than, sorry to hear you couldn't manage to figure it out...
