Black Screen...Please help!

I have all the expansion packs and it played fine for a while but now will go to a black screen at various points and I have to shut down the whole computer, I can't even bring up task manager to close it out. I have all the system requirements, have added all the sims to the DEP, and tried playing in window mode...I don't know what else to try! Thanks!
