Sims 3 - Into the Future - Infinity Loading Screen

Hi again,

Into the Future is installed, the loading screen pops up and when i'm in-game the portal comes up, I can interact with the portal and the guy comes out but whenever I attempt to go into the portal it takes me to the loading screen and never loads. Is there a fix?

I have all the Episodes and Stuff Packs when I'm in edit town, I don't get the Pet Shop category when you choose what Lot you want, is there a fix for this, I get Grahams Petshop but no Petshop category, whenever I go to check the neighborhood for adoptions theres none available, whenever I place the petshop counter down on a business lot it's empty.

Hello and welcome to the forum @Mr_Blue,

I merged your posts to only one thread. About the first question, try navigating to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Currentgame.sims3 and delete all contents inside that folder. Start up the game, delete the portal (in buy-mode), and purchase a new portal. I don't know where exactly the portal is found in buy-mode, I suppose it's somewhere in the "Outdoors"-category.

About the Pet store question, have you tried editing the Pet Store lot ? That can be done from the "edit town"-menu (I believe). If not, open the cheat console by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + C and type testingcheatsenabled true. Hit enter now. Then right-click somewhere on the ground of the Pet store lot and choose "buy/build on this lot". The Pet store must have the Pet store register in it, for the lot category "Pet store" to show up (very strange, if you ask me, but OK).

I'm not sure about the adoptions though. Did you already adopt one pet ? If so, you may need to wait until it's "delivered" to your house. Other than that I'm unsure, sorry. Have you also tried creating a pet of your own ? In "Edit town"-mode, click on create-a-household, and from there you can also create pets.

I have tried adding a new portal to the world and travelling through it but there's still an infinity loading screen.

Regarding the pets, I added Graham's pet shop, it already comes with a pet register, so I decided to add another pet register just incase but yet again when I edited the lot in town there wasn't any pet shop option, so it set it self as an academy. The pet register was still empty, even if I used nras's debug enabler.

Sorry for the late reply, but the game has a lot of unresolved bugs. You could try creating a pet on your own (see my previous post) if adoptions don't work.

And these travelling glitches (into the future, to the university town, and to the 3 vacation destinations) are due to the totally broken travel system. Try adding the mod NRAAS traveler, maybe it can help you here, but other that I'm unsure, sorry.

Thanks for the support, I appreciate it. Unfortunately I already have the nras's travel mod, I think it's just the episode to be honest which is why it's not letting me into the future, I'll have to reinstall into the future or download another version of it and see if it works, maybe one day. Thanks for the assistants.

Sorry for the late reply, but I only wanted to add that the pirated version of Games4theworld is based on the retail DVD version, hence it's not likely that re-downloading the game can affect anything.

Sometimes, and for minor glitches, re-running the manual patch and also re-applying the Ultimate fix at the end can help too, so if you want to give that a try, feel free to do so.
