Bypass Launcher

I'm having trouble installing .sims3pack files through the launcher, especially the worlds. Every time I try, the launcher crashes. If anyone knows of a way for me to bypass the launcher that will work on Mac, as I know there are ways to do it on PC but most of those involve programs that are not compatible, I would greatly appreciate it.

If not, I do have access to a PC that's just not able to run the game very well, but does allow me to install custom content. I know that by transferring the EA files from Documents, any installed worlds will transfer too. If the moderators are interested, I would be happy to work with them to upload the installed world files for any other Mac users out there who are looking to use custom worlds and experiencing issues.

Hello,

Perhaps you can use package files on Mac? I have to admit that I don't know if that'll work, but if you can use mods, you should be able to use package files.
At the bottom of this post is some information on how to convert sims3packs into packages.

Unfortunately, it seems that all the programs mentioned in that post involve installers that are incompatible with Mac. I'm going to try to run them with Wine, but I've had very few good experiences with Wine, probably since I have no idea how to use it properly. I'll come back with an update.

Yeah, no luck with Wine. I'm trying to learn how to use it, but it's not very straight forward and for some reason I'm having a hell of a time navigating their website for any useful information.
