Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all of its features? Fix? Help?
A while back, i downloaded the Sims 3 pets expansion pack from this site and the screen froze, so i restarted my computer. At first, i did not think that it actually installed but it did as there was a start icon as well as listed in my program list on my control panel. when i clicked on the icon, it kept asking for a CD, so i deleted it from my programs and tried to delete it from my control panel. But its still there. After doing some searching, i found another way to delete. I used start and pressed the letter r and it brought a search box where i typed regedit and deleted the base and expansion games. It seemed to work as it the sims icon did not appear on the control panel but it still had programs that said sims 3 pets on it. Anyway, i downloaded the sims 3 collection torrent and the expansion packs seemed to work but the pets one.
Why is this?
How can i delete the pets from my computer completely and would i have to factory reset my computer?
I have used this website before and i am a beginner to torrents as well.

Hello,
Welcome to the forum!
Well, that does sound pretty messed up, but I don't think you have to do a factory reset on your computer. Can you be a bit more specific as to which Pets references you still find on your pc? You can make screenshots if you want.
Am I correct in understanding that your entire game is installed and working, with the exception of the Pets expansion?
Is there a specific error when you try to install Pets, or does it seemingly install, only to fail to show up in-game?

Hey, Thanks for replying to my message.
Here is the screenshot of my programs and as you can see Sims 3 pets is still there when it shouldn't be. Also, yes the sims 3 game is installed and is working correctly, with other expansion packs. The sims 3 pets is the only one that is causing problems.
I just dont know why it is still there.

Hello,
I don't see your screenshot!
Ok, what happens if you run the setup for The Sims 3 Pets?

Thats the thing, there is no launcher for sims 3. There should be no sims 3 on the computer. i uninstalled it but it is still there on my control panel. i thought that i deleted it so i download sims 3 pets again and click the setup button and it came up with do you want to completely remove the selected application and all its features

What if you say "yes"?
And then restart your PC afterwards.
It would only uninstall Pets.

Hello, and welcome to the forum,
you need to manually delete expansion.
1) Go to C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts. Delete folder The Sims 3 Pets folder if there is any.
2) Press Windows Key+R at the same time. Window will pop up. Type in there regedit.
Locate the following entries by expanding the "" to get to the next level or the "" to collapse it.
If any of the entries are missing, that is fine. This means the uninstaller for that program has done its job.
When you go to entry, click on folder. Then right-click on files in folder and select Delete. (Example: You go to The Sims 3 Pets folder, click on it, and on the right side of screen there are couple of files, right-click on each file and select delete.)
Go to My Computer.
Go to C:\ProgramFiles(x86).
Select Tools, then Folder Options, then View, then select Show hidden files and folders.
Select the InstallShield Installation Information folder.
Delete {C12631C6-804D-4B32-B0DD-8A496462F106} The Sims 3 Pets (EP05) if it appears.
Reboot PC.
//EDIT
Try using some third-party registry cleaner like Clean Master for cleaning all unused registry entries, as those for The Sims 3 Pets.

Oh, you need to go to "properties", by left-clicking on "My Computer" to find "Tools".
