TS3W.exe- Entry Point Not Found [SOLVED]

I have downloaded the sims 3 complete collection on here and installed it correctly. I have applied the crack but I get this error when clicking the play button on the launcher and accessing the TS3W.exe from the game bin:                      
 After i click ok, a black screen appears for about a second and then crashes with no error message.
Im not quite sure what this means or what i've done that's incorrect.

Most probably you need DirextX 9.
Download it from the Microsoft site https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34429

The setup doesn't work as it says 'You must be running Windows 98, Windows Millennium Edition, windows 2000, windows xp or windows server 2003 family to install the DirectX 9.0".

I am running windows 10 home.


EDIT: nevermind, the problem was with the SweetFX mod i have. Fixed the issue and game runs well
