Accidentally uninstalled The Sims 4.
So my dad was going through our computer recently and he thought TS4 was malware so he uninstalled it. Luckily the game and the files appear to still be on the computer but the game is not installed.
I could not find the insallation folder on the computer and when I try to open vcredist it does not work. Any way to fix it? Or do I have to uninstall and reinstall completly? (My wifi is terrible so this is a sort of last result) Thank you in advance!

Hello @vicx and welcome to the forum,
Sorry to hear about this, but in all likelihood you will have to start from square one again: namely by re-installing everything, according to the guide here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t21806-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-4-correctly
It is possible though that at the end of that, you can simply back up the entire installation folder of The Sims 4, under C:\Program files (x86)\, to a safe location. Like an external hard-drive for example. So in case anything happens to your computer, you could simply copy the install folder that you backed up, and then paste it onto your C: drive again.
Good luck for now and do keep us posted in case of further questions!
P.S. in general, it's a good idea to back up ALL the things that you download, be it (pirated) games/software, music, videos, etc. In case anything "unexpected" happens, you do not have to re-download it all again. There are cheap external hard-drives available, which you can use for data storage. Feel free to do some googling, and no worries, you don't have to go for expensive models. The cheaper ones should do as well.

Yes, you will have to re-download everything. And as said, at the end, you can back up the entire "The Sims 4" folder under Program files (x86), to a safe location, in something like this happens to you again. In which case you simply take the folder from the backup without having to re-download anything.
