The Sims 3 base game?

Hey there
I was just wondering, where can I download or install the base game for sims 3 w/o having to download the complete collection which is 27 gb? I already download the torrent for island paradise but when I try to open the installer it says that I need to have the base game first. anybody know what that means? I'm kinda new to all this stuff :3 just please I need the link to the base game. just the base game for sims 3 our internet connection is kinda slow here so yeah hope somebody helps, thank you!

First of all, welcome to the Games4theworld Forum!
Indeed, Island Paradise is just an expansion pack. In order to install an expansion pack, you need the base game first. An expansion pack just adds new features to an existing base game. It won't actually install a completely new game, so to speak.

It's called, surprise surprise, "The Sims 3".

"The Sims Castaway Stories" is a completely independent game, just like all the other "Sims Stories" titles. You just need to follow the instructions included in the download.
