Saving problem code 0, please help? Empty Saving problem code 0, please help?

Post by Guest Mon 06 Oct 2014, 12:16

Hello,

I don't know if someone has posted this problem already, or if I am posting my problem in the right section...
but I am having trouble with saving the Sims 4. I have not bought the game, but I downloaded it. I don't know if I am doing something wrong with adding all the newer craks and updates of the game.

The problem is: When I launch the Sims 4 and when I am at the homescreen of sims 4, I receive a notification saying that the game I was attempting to load was saved under a newer version of sims 4 and that I should update the game. I also can't save the game when I am playing the sims 4.

I have downloaded every update and cracks, including the latest.. > the update 3 and crack version 7, I don't know how to fix this. Could someone help me?  :$:

ok i think i may know what the issue is, after the release of update 1 & crack 2, it was said that you must delete your sims 4 folder from your documents/Electronic arts. it sucks i know, but as far as i know, we all had to do it.

one suggestion i would make though is copying your mod folder if you have any as well as your tray folder. those 2 folders i believe may be salvagable. copy them to your desktop, delete your sims 4 folder, start the game to rebuild your sims 4 directory in your documents folder and then just exit the game. now copy back your mods and tray folder to your newly rebuilt sims 4 directory.

be advised, your saved games will be gone, but your created homes and sims should be ok. those are what you copy over when placing your tray folder back. now when you play, you should have no issues, but if that is not the case, you can just remove the contents of the tray folder and see if that helps. if not then try removing the contents of your mod folder. but i dont believe you will need to remove anything from either folder.

its basically just the previous saved games that should be the issue, not the items.

good luck, hope this helps!

I think I am doing it totally wrong. I was reading your comment and I do have a Electronic arts map with sims 3 etc, but the sims 4 is missing in the Electronic arts map.
I downloaded the game and made a random map in my documents. I think that I don't know how to properly install the sims 4. WhatDidUJustCallMe? I don't know if I can say this here, but I downloaded the sims 4 from skidrow.

I have read your tips from your other forum posts, but I am doing something wrong I guess. I am not a pro at downloading and I don't know what to do anymore.

if you got it from skidrow, there really is no install aside from making sure that the files listed in the following section are installed.

in the directory "The SIMS 4-Deluxe Edition-SKIDROWCRACK\__Installer\vc\vc2013\redist"

vcredist_x64.exe

vcredist_x86.exe

install both files if your on a 64bit system,
or just the x86 file on a 32bit system.

also go into The SIMS 4-Deluxe Edition-SKIDROWCRACK\Game\Bin and make sure to rename TS4.par has been renamed to The.Sims.4.Launcher.par

Your documents\electronic arts\Sims 4 folder wont rebuild until you run the game. create a shortcut to your desktop for The.Sims.4.Launcher.exe which is located in the folder The SIMS 4-Deluxe Edition-SKIDROWCRACK\Game\Bin

I'd say those are probably the most important things to take care of first. after that you can refer back to my topic linked at the bottom of my post for further options and trouble shooting.

hope this helps to resolve your problem.

I will try this! .. Very Happy

//EDIT

I have followed every step of you.. but I still get the error code 0 when I see the startscreen.. Maybe I am doing something wrong with how to download the cracks and updates correctly.
I am sorry to bother you with this, and I am thanking you for your help and tips that you already gave me!!! But I am just a bit sad that it still doesn´t work.

Hello isaatje,

Sorry for the late reply, but what we learned from Sims 3, can also be applied to Sims 4: you NEVER EVER delete the folder "The Sims 4" located in My Documents/Electronic Arts, because there could be still stuff in it, which you may want to keep.

You should only rename the folder. Just change the name of the folder into anything else.

Then, re-start the game, and - for now - make a completely fresh savegame. Does the game save then ?

If you haven't noticed yet, G4TW also released TS4 now:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t18076-the-sims-4-out-now-download-link

You might want to un-install your current game completely, then re-boot the computer. After that, re-install TS4 from Games4TheWorld. This release should run MUCH more stable than these previous "3DM" games.

Good luck ! Smile
