paul.dll and SKU problems.[SOLVED]
hi!
so, i was installing the sims 3 as per your instructions but i ran into two issues
first, after installing the base game, i applied the manual patch and it was working fine until i got a weird error saying something about a missing paul.dll file? (it's the same issue someone had here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t22714-error-installing-manual-patch) i chose ignore and it finished patching the game without any other problems.
then as i was trying to install World Adventures, i went to the registry as it said in the instructions and i found where i was supposed to go (found it under WOW6432Node instead of under software) but i couldn't find the "SKU" part that i was supposed to modify (for reference, this is what the instructions said exactly: ... open the Start menu. Type 'regedit' in the search box and press [ENTER]. Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sims\The Sims 3 and double-click on 'SKU'. Change the shown
number to 2 and press 'OK'. Close the Register Editor.) Never mind I found it! If anyone has the same problem the solution is here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t177-can-t-find-the-sims-3-sku-fix
i'm running a windows 10 btw, i dont know if thats important or not!
thanks in advance

Hello,
You may run into problems due to the error during the installation of the patch. You can retry it, but if the same error comes up, you may have to download the patch again.
Having said that, you may not notice any problems running your game at all, so unless you run into those problems, you don't really have to do anything.
